I milked a cow! Well, I helped…a little bit…

Day #11 must have been a pretty chill day, because I only have a handful of pictures. That’s saying something considering I took well over a thousand pictures in the time we were in Nepal. We hung out around Kalpana’s home and ate some food at a relative’s house. But the most eventful thing that day was the first thing I did that day, which was to milk the cow. Let me just say that it takes a certain skill to be able to milk a cow well. I also can’t let this day go by without sharing a picture of some of the Nepali fried chicken that we had. I don’t know exactly how they make it, but it does involve oil and making it very crispy. Regardless of how it’s made, I found it to be very tasty! See below:

The next day was our last full day in Chitwan staying at the family home. So it was mostly spent with family, enjoying the last little bit of time together. I’ll share several photos below:

Pictures from the last full day in Chitwan

You can see the picture above with Kalpana’s dad, Shiva, and me. He really wanted pictures of the two of us together. Then below you can see Kalpana serving tea to her grandfather. Her grandmother is in the background, in red. There were friends of the family visiting from Canada that day as well. The last picture is of Kalpana and I with Bandana. She was the neighbor from across the street that liked to come over and hang out a lot. She was a lot of fun to have around and her english was good as well.

More than a year has already passed, and it still makes me emotional to look at these pictures and try to remember everything that happened. I wish I had written down some things sooner because I’ve already forgotten so many details and little stories. Anyway, I think I’ll stop on this day because there’s a lot more that happens the next day.
